After the Japanese recession, an eccentric conductor pieces back together the remnants of a once famous orchestra with former and new members. Egos and pettiness have to be overcome in order to achieve harmony. An orchestra reforms under maverick conductor Tendo, but while his unorthodox methods win the players over, concertmaster Shinichi remains suspicious.
